Monsturd Review
Right from the start it blows you away. A little girl wants a bedtime story but her father refuses and tells her he wants a story instead. Thus starts this insane tale.
What we have here is a evil dr. Stern who throws some chemicals into the sewer. Unfortunately for escaping prisoner Jack Schmidt off course as he is engulfed in them. That causes a mutation of unbelievable proportions in form of the "Shit Man". Or better yet a giant Doo Doo as one girl notes. Almost every line is consisted of references to feces and it's done really neat.
One of the scenes which is not at all connected to turd is actually maybe the funniest. It includes a puppet that's supposed to be a junky scum bag and a policeman beating the hell out of it. I was crying here.
The acting is indeed bad especially the sheriff but the other two cops are actually above average. Not only that but they are very likable. I certainly didn't expect I'd find two amusing actors here. Later I found out they're the ones who directed and wrote the movie. Main female sucks but not in a good way like the sheriff. He's a completely booze driven moron with quick ideas like putting a diaper on top of your head. Love that guy.
Ok so the people behind this flick were obviously having lots of fun while filming it. I mean what's with the sudden dead body coming to life? It doesn't have any point at all for the story. Important thing is, it gets some steel through the eye. Basically so much scenes here have astonishingly no sense with anything that they become very funny. Including dr. Stern the evil scientist. His agenda is... what exactly? To study a giant walking turd. Awesome. Other notable nonsense: the second scene in the bar (very nostalgic drama at work), the toilet cleaning (amazing scene which deserves every film award available), the chili cook off (can something look more disgusting?) and the most fake pretending, of enjoying music, ever seen on film.
I must not forget to mention the awesome theme song. Now this is really done good and you should hear it. If that doesn't motivate you to see this film I don't know what will.
This movie is very enjoyable and funny so I recommend it to everyone. Do not hesitate and watch. I guarantee a good time. Sorry for a short review but this movie deserves better than just me shooting turd out of my mouth. Watch now!
